I am super excited to be your child's teacher this school year.
I am a military spouse, originally from New Jersey and my husband is from Pennsylvania. We live in Fort Mitchell, Alabama and have been living there since 2015. We enjoy the quiet surroundings and friendly community. We have lots of pets, 2 dogs, 3 cats and a hamster. It is obvious, that we really love animals.
While I was waiting for my teaching certificate in Alabama and Georgia I substitute taught in the local school districts; Russelly County, Lee County and Fort Benning Schools. This allowed me to experience various grade levels. I substitute taught for a little over a year before being offered a second grade teaching position with Phenix Citty schools. I was there for a year, but was unhappy to decided it was best for myself and my family to be closer to home so taught Pre-K at a local private school. Teaching Pre-K made me miss the students that were a little older, and teaching more rigorous subject areas so I was very grateful for the opprtunity to teach at Allen.
Last year, was my first year at Allen Elementary in the fourth grade classroom. Even with how the year ended, I really love being at Allen and I am looking forward to see what the thrid grade has in store for me. I know this is going to be a great year!!
